The Woodlands
The Woodlands Course is a stunning contrast to its famous predecessor, the Links Course. Fairways are carved out of long-standing forests of oak, maple, pine, elm and walnut. You can expect to encounter whitetail deer, hawks, eagles and wild turkey as you walk the fairways- make sure to bring your camera!
This picturesque tract offers a breathtaking lakeshore panorama on hole #3, a.k.a. The Cliff Hole. This truly awesome 169-yard par 3 features a radical 65-foot drop from tee to green. Hole #2 is a 341-yard par 4 center pieced with a 100 year-old stone quarry that separates the fairway from green and donned with the Judson Tower, a historical landmark. Required accuracy and distance make this an unforgiving ogre that has been quoted by Golf Digest readers as one of the toughest courses you will ever play second only to Blackwolf Run and the top five best courses ever played.
Mascoutin Golf Club
Some 300 years ago, fire-worshipping Indians lived in Mascoutin Village just south of Berlin, Wis., in Green Lake County. It was in this gently rolling setting that E. Lawrence Packard carved out a magnificent 18-hole championship golf course through century old trees.
The original Red and White nines were designed by Larry Packard and the course opened for play in 1976. The very popular Blue nine, quite different in its challenges, was designed by Rick Jacobson, and opened for play on July 19, 1999. With a beautiful setting and overall superb conditions, all 27 holes appeal to men, women and junior golfers and offer equal challenges to the professional or novice.
Tuscumbia Country Club
Founded in 1896, Tuscumbia Golf Course is the oldest championship course in Wisconsin. Nestled inside the city limits of Green Lake, the course enjoys a landscape of majestic evergreens, maples, and towering oaks. The layout is routed through a maze of mature trees. They line the tight fairways and frame the demanding greens. There is also a thick rough to contend with as well as strategically placed bunkers.
The classic layout is more challenging than what you would expect from a traditional golf course from that era. It demands accuracy as well as skillful course management but it is a fair test that is still player-friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence. Your skills will be tested but the holes are fairly straightforward with no hidden hazards and there is hardly any water in play.
White Lake Golf Club
The par 72 18-hole layout with maximum distance of 6,373 yards is carved out of 200+acres of ancient glacier lands and nestled among hills, woods, and ponds. The golf course encompasses two sets of nines, one heading North and the other heading South from the clubhouse. With three sets of tees on each nine our course will accommodate all abilities of golfers.
The well-maintained course is open to the public and features significant elevation changes, four dog legs, twenty two traps, five pot bunkers and three water hazards. Play here is enjoyed by both the novice and avid golfers. Located out in the country just 15 min west of Lawsonia.
